Fifa Club World Cup football village opens up in Abu Dhabi

Passionate football fans descended on the Abu Dhabi cornice last night for the opening night of the FIFA Club World Cup Football Village, brought to you by Mubadala.  Visitors were treated to a vast range of activities and entertainment including the ‘Etisalat Match in the Sky’ - a game of vertical football with suspended players performing acrobatic manoeuvres in mid-air.  A host of live music and DJ acts, face painters and balloon benders also helped to create a lively atmosphere.

The Football Village is part of the FIFA Club World Cup entertainment and community programme and runs until Saturday 4th December.  The centrepiece of the Football Village is the Mubadala Experience which features UAE FA coaches who are on-hand to share their advice and expertise, and includes a number of technical drill zones where football enthusiasts can refine their skills.
