Jumeirah Group, whose portfolio encompasses the iconic Burj Al Arab, will provide a touch of the traditional Arabian hospitality to some of the world’s leading players when they line up for honours at forthcoming the Omega Dubai Desert Classic and the Omega Dubai Ladies Masters.
The Dubai-based luxury hotel company and member of Dubai Holding, Jumeirah Group has signed up a fresh contract with golf in DUBAi, the promoters and organisers of the two premier golf events, to be the official caterer and hospitality partner for the next four years.
Jumeirah, and specifically its official host hotel Madinat Jumeirah, has been associated with golf in DUBAi since 2006 and the extension of their contract reflects on the company’s commitment to promoting Dubai as a global destination to international audiences.
With the 21-year-old golfing phenomenon Rory McIlroy as their global ambassador, who incidentally won his first European Tour title in Dubai in 2009, Jumeirah Group believes the development of golf has always been an essential ingredient in the growth of Dubai as a destination for international investment and tourism.

Today, if the name of Dubai has become synonymous with golf –- a great deal of the city's popularity as a golf destination is due to the success of the Omega Dubai Desert Classic, the longest-running European Tour event in the Middle East, and the Omega Dubai Ladies Masters, the only Ladies European Tour tournament in the region.
