UAE Beach Soccer National Team Involves in Intensive Prepaprations to Join World Cup Qualifying

Asian Competitions, the Beach Football Development Committee in DSC has announced that the UAE National Team will play three friendly matches against Lokomotiv moscow fc (Russian Team) from 18th to 20th Feb. 2011 at Al-Mamzar Beach.

The Asian Qualifying Competitions are decided to take place at Oman from 24th Feb to 4th March 2011 with participation of Asian strongest teams. 
The three matches are part of the Committee’s plan to pave the way for the UAE National Team to qualify to the World Cup Finals to be held this year in Italy. The UAE National Team is the Arab’s ambassador in this particular world field, taking into consideration that the Team has qualified to the finals of the last three editions of the World Cup in Rio de Janeiro – 2007/ Marseille – 2008 / Dubai – 2009. 
The UAE National Team’s coach, Mr. Marcello, confirmed that the UAE players are keen to qualify to the World Cup Finals. He said: “Players are optimistically involved in daily training sessions at Al-Mamzar Beach particularly after getting the golden medal in the Asian Games Competitions last December. They are insisting to attain a new achievement to emphasize the high level of UAE in the beach football field".

On the other hand, a contract has been signed with Mr. Jose Lopez, from Brazil, to join the technical body of the Team as Fitness Coach, aiming to raise the level of fitness for the UAE National Team’s players since they are to be involved in competitive matches in the Asian Qualifying Competitions with profound teams like Japan, Iran, … etc.
It is worth-mentioning that Mr. Lopez enjoys considerable experience in UAE pitches since he served in Al-Wasl Club in 1996 / Al-Sharjah Club from 2006 to 2009 and thus he is aware of the fitness abilities of the UAE’s players.
It is to be mentioned that the preparatory program of the UAE Beach Football National Team conatained training sessions in Fitness Halls in addition to technical training sessions in pitches.
